Agreement on Mutual Recognition of Between China and Norway

The People’s Republic of China and Norway have signed an agreement on mutual recognition of qualifications in higher education.

The agreement was signed on 18 April 2018 by Norway's Minister of Research and Higher Education Iselin Nybø and Vice Minister of Education Du Zhanyuan. The event took place during a visit by a delegation of more than 200 representatives of from Norwegian higher education to Beijing.

– Increased academic cooperation between China and Norway is a highly prioritized topic from the Norwegian side, and recognition of higher education qualifications between the two countries is central to this issue. The aim of the agreement on mutual recognition of qualifications in higher education is to increase academic mobility between the two countries, says Terje Mørland, Director General of NOKUT.
