NOKUT accredits Professional studies in Psychology at UiS
NOKUT has decided to accredit Professional studies in Psychology at the University of Stavanger (UiS). Consequently, the university can apply to the Ministry of Education to establish the study program.
"I would like to congratulate the University of Stavanger. They have demonstrated that they meet all the necessary requirements to offer professional studies in psychology," says Director for Accreditation and Quality Assurance Nina Waaler.
Applications for accreditation have been assessed by an expert committee consisting of people from the same subject area with relevant background and experience. The committee has evaluated whether all accreditation requirements have been met. NOKUT’s decision follows the recommendations of the expert committee. The committee has also provided advice to UiS on how they can further develop the study program.
"Before the university can start the study programme, they must apply to the Ministry of Education for final approval," Waaler concludes.
