Department of Foreign Education
NOKUT is the national competence centre for foreign education. We receive up to 10 000 applications for recognition of foreign education every year. NOKUT coordinates, advises and informs about foreign education and the Norwegian recognition systems.
Department of foreign education processes applications for recognition of foreign education. The department has an overview of Norwegian and international recognition practices and safeguards Norwegian obligations and interests in this field, both nationally and internationally.

The department comprises four sections:
Section of Information
The main task of the Section of Information is to inform about NOKUT's services concerning foreign qualifications. In addition, it has responsibility for information services as National Information Centre for the ENIC-NARIC Network, information and guidance on the European Qualifications Framework for lifelong learning and assistance centre for the EU Professional Qualifications Directive.
