SCAN-d Samples & Copies of Academic National Diplomas

Contributing to fair and fast recognition of international degrees of higher education

The SCAN-d project has been launched with the main goal to foster knowledge of different higher education degrees in order to promote a better and fair recognition.

The purpose of the project is to collect samples of national degree certificates from Higher Education Institutions of the 24 participating countries: Armenia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium-Flemish Community, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain and Ukraine.

The database has security features in order to guarantee the confidentiality and integrity of data, and is accessible only to authorised personnel of the ENIC-NARIC centres. The ENIC-NARIC centres are set up by the Ministries of education in 55 countries.

The ENIC-NARIC centres assist in promoting mobility of students, teachers and researchers by providing authoritative advice and information concerning the academic recognition of diplomas and periods of study undertaken in other states.

NOKUT has during 2016 and 2017 contacted Norwegian universities, special field universities, university colleges and institutions with single accredited higher education programmes. These institutions have been very cooperative, sending us some samples of diplomas, degree certificates, transcripts and diploma supplements that the institution has awarded their students.

These institutions cooperation to the SCAN-d project has helped to improve and speed up the recognition process, giving reliable and valuable information on your degrees and providing authoritative models to which credential evaluators can refer to in order to verify the authenticity of credentials.

The SCAN-d project is financed by the European Commission in the framework of the Erasmus+ programme – Action 3 (Support for Policy Reform), the first SCAN-d project was carried out between July 2014 and September 2015, and SCAN-d 2 project started in April 2016 and will end in September 2017.
