For most professions or trades, no specific recognition is required before you can start working in Norway. If you cannot find your profession in this list, you may not need recognition or authorisation. Read more about non-regulated professions.

Electronic Communications Networks
Competent authority for recognition for the profession Qualified person for ecom networks authorization in Norway is Nasjonal kommunikasjonsmyndighet (Norwegian Communications Authority). This profession is regulated by the Professional Qualifications Directive (2005/36/EU).
It is the enterprise responsible for the installation and maintenance of electronic communications networks that applies for authorization. The enterprise must have a Norwegian organisation number. Authorization is granted to the enterprise, not an individual, and is linked to the organisation number. In order to be granted authorization, an enterprise must have a full-time employee (qualified person) who meets the regulatory requirements for education and professional practice. It is this person’s qualifications that are assessed.
