Conference on the Revised Reykjavik Declaration: The Nordic Approach on Recognition

The Nordic Council of Ministers, the Norwegian Ministry of Education and Research and the Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (NOKUT) invite you to a Conference on the Revised Reykjavik Declaration – an inter-regional recognition instrument in its wider context!

The Nordic Declaration on the Recognition of Qualifications Concerning Higher Education – the Reykjavik Declaration was revised in 2016. This conference will highlight best practice in recognition and facilitating mobility in the Nordic countries. The Nordic declaration will be seen in the context of the Lisbon Recognition Convention and the coming UNESCO Global Recognition Convention.

Fair, expeditious and transparent recognition procedures is a prerequisite for mobility without losing time. This will benefit the individual and the society. A mapping study of Nordic models for recognition of foreign qualifications will be presented. European experts will highlight the international conventions and tools while Nordic experts will describe the Nordic Declaration and discuss best practices and student mobility.

Registration is on a first come, first serve basis. Due to a limited number of seats, we encourage a maximum of two conference participants per institution.
