Studying abroad

If you want to pursue all your studies abroad, it is not possible in Norway to obtain formal, written advance approval to ensure that your studies are recognised in Norway when they are completed. You can only have some or all of your studies abroad recognised once you have completed them.

You can read more on NOKUT’s website about what you will need to think about if you are planning to study abroad in a programme that is not part of an exchange programme with a Norwegian educational institution: NOKUT - Further studies abroad

Is the educational institution accredited?

Check the database Foreign Educational Institutions on NOKUT's website, to see whether your educational institution confers academic accreditation.
