General recognition

Like most other countries, Norway has various types of recognition that enable foreign qualifications to be utilized in the Norwegian society. Where you apply for recognition depends on the type of education you have, and what the recognition is intended for.

We distinguish between academic and professional recognition. Professional recognition or authorization is required to practice a regulated profession.
