You can apply for general recognition if you:
- Have foreign higher education qualifications
AND
- Wish to work in Norway
Most professions are not regulated, and thus do not require authorization. In most cases, general recognition is sufficient.
What is considered higher education in connection with recognition?
Foreign higher education is normally considered higher education in Norway when it corresponds to the level of Norwegian higher education. Only education which exceeds the requirements for Higher Education Entrance Qualification, (general requirements for admission to higher education in Norway), is eligible for general recognition.
